Declaration of Generative AI

International Journal on Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources (IJ-FANRes) requires authors to declare any use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted technologies during manuscript preparation. Use of such tools is permitted for limited support (e.g., language editing, grammar correction, organization) and must not exceed 30% of the manuscript preparation process.

Authors remain fully responsible and accountable for the accuracy, originality, and interpretation of all content, including any text produced with AI tools.

Author Responsibilities

  • Verify and edit all AI-generated output for accuracy, comprehensiveness, impartiality, and alignment with the manuscript’s scientific claims (note: AI-generated references may be incorrect or fabricated).
  • Ensure the manuscript reflects the authors’ authentic and original contribution, including their own analysis, interpretation, insights, and ideas.
  • Provide clear disclosure of any AI tools used at submission (see example statement below).
  • Safeguard data privacy, intellectual property, and other rights by reviewing the terms of any AI tool employed.

Required Disclosure Statement (Example)

Include the following text in your manuscript under a separate heading or in the cover letter:
